My Mom

My Mom's birthday falls a week after my Dad's. Today she turns seventy-five.

She is awesome. She was a voice major in college, where the cool thing to do was to knit socks while walking between classes. She speaks in different accents just for fun. She quilts, and quilts, and quilts - beautifully.

Most of all she is an amazing Mom to her five very unique children.

Right now my parents are enjoying an extended vacation in Florida, so I couldn't wish either of them Happy Birthday in person, but we'll definitely celebrate in a few weeks.

Happy Birthday, Mom!
