I just finished this purple piece. I took photos along the way - and I can't wait to share them with you! I really like how this turned out. The color scheme is a bit unexpected - mostly purples, turquoises, and oranges - and the flowers were painted first and then decoupaged onto the canvas (more on that another time). I think my favorite part of all are the hexagons. I am the giddy owner of a brand new Fiskars hexagon punch. After I opened the package this morning, and punched into my pile of painted index cards and random scraps, the hexies were ready in about five minutes. I have big plans for this punch - such excitement!
This is another phrase that popped into my head one day at work. And it's true, you know? You can only be who you are in this moment. The only time you make something happen is right now. Sometimes I need this reminder.
